Case study
A multi-location restaurant group replaced month-end spreadsheets with reporting that updates itself
Same day
Performance visible across all locations, instead of the following month
Zero
Manual exports remaining
The situation
The group ran its operations on a specialist restaurant management platform, and getting anything useful out of it meant exporting files by hand. Head office rebuilt the same performance comparison every month, moving numbers between spreadsheets to line up one location against another. By the time it was finished it described a month that had already closed. Worse, two people could produce two different figures for the same location, because each was calculating things slightly differently.
What we built
We connected their restaurant platform so its information flows out automatically every day, with nobody exporting anything. That information now lands in one organised store where every location's figures are worked out the same way, so there is a single agreed number for each thing the business measures. On top of that we built dashboards showing sales, costs and performance by location, refreshed daily.
Built on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, pulling from the Restaurant365 API, with a layered structure that keeps the original raw data intact so any number can be traced back to where it came from.
The result
Head office now sees yesterday's performance across every location the next morning. Nobody rebuilds the monthly report by hand. When a manager questions a figure, it can be traced back to the source in seconds rather than argued about in a meeting.
